Apple lobbied the Indian government to prepare iPad tablets locally
Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India announced a performance-linked reward program last year to encourage large companies including Apple to produce more products locally.
The government has prepared approximately US$1 billion for the reward program to provide companies and companies that contribute to exports. Suppliers give monetary rewards.
