Samsung's new patent for pop-up rotating three-lens primary lens flipping selfie comes out

Samsung has previously released the Galaxy A80 with a rotating camera lens design. The outside world has been speculating whether the successor model Galaxy A82 5G planned to be launched this year will retain the same design. However, Samsung has recently issued a new technology patent, which shows a pop-up rotating camera lens, which seems to be similar to the previous design.

Recently, Samsung released a new technology patent, which showed a pop-up rotating camera lens design that can shoot forwards and backwards, adopts a long and narrow design and can accommodate 3 lenses. 

Under normal conditions, all three lenses are located on the back of the fuselage. If the user takes a selfie, the first lens will flip and act as the front lens, and the following two lenses will be automatically disabled, and the entire camera lens system will work completely automatically.

In terms of hardware, two gears and screw shafts are used to realize the rotating and pop-up structure. In addition, a movable frame containing a flexible circuit board is built in, so that it can move simultaneously with the lens system. 

The frame is located directly under the entire photographic lens system, so when the camera is raised, there will be a gap covered by the frame. The entire patent is more than 70 pages long. The application was submitted in 2020 and was approved on January 14, 2021.
