Transition from Android to HarmonyOS Huawei EMUI or stop development after March

Since Huawei announced the HarmonyOS 2.0 mobile phone version at the end of last year, which will be the first to open to developers for testing, the outside world has been very interested in when the first mobile phone with the Hongmeng 2.0 system will be launched. 


According to Chinese technology blog @长安数码君, Huawei may stop developing a new version of the EMUI system after March this year.

The EMUI currently preloaded on Huawei phones and tablets is an Android-based user interface. @长安数码君 recently revealed on Weibo that the last version of EMUI 11.1 is tentatively scheduled to be launched in March, and its kernel will be changed from Android to HarmonyOS. 


The HarmonyOS kernel in EMUI 11.1 is to prepare for the official launch of Hongmeng. He also mentioned that after the launch of this version, EMUI may stop developing new versions, and the conversion of EMUI and Hongmeng will cross.
