There are 204 fraudulent programs in Apple App Store and Play Store, defrauding users of more than 3.2 billion

Recently, the foreign defense software company Avast issued an investigation report, and its researchers found 204 Fleeceware fraud programs in the Apple App Store and Google Play store, and they have defrauded users of nearly 400 million US dollars.
According to the Avast report, there are 134 fraudulent programs in the Apple App Store and 70 in the Google Play Store.
It is reported that these fraudulent programs have downloaded more than 1 billion downloads, and most of them will be disguised as handheld readers, horoscopes, photo editors, QR Code and PDF readers, etc., to attract users to download through free trials, and then secretly charge high subscriptions. So far, it has defrauded users of more than 400 million U.S. dollars in revenue.
According to the report, since the Fleeceware fraudulent program is not a malicious program, it is available on the App Store and Google Play platforms. The company said that it has reported the problem to Google and Apple a few days ago and has disclosed a list of fraudulent programs. At present, the App Store and Google Play have taken measures to take precautions.
