Following in the footsteps of Apple and Samsung, Huawei rumored to stop supplying mobile phone chargers
At the end of last year, when Apple announced that the new iPhone packaging would no longer provide chargers, it was ridiculed by many mobile phone brands, but later Xiaomi and Samsung followed suit and stopped providing chargers to flagship models.
These companies made this decision and announced it to the public for environmental protection, but at the same time it also meant to reduce costs.
Recently, Chinese media quoted sources as saying that Huawei will follow in the footsteps of Xiaomi and Samsung, and follow Apple to stop supplying Nova 8, Mate 40 series and some phones using Kirin 990 processors with 66W fast chargers. Users who need a charger must buy it themselves, and Huawei is said to reduce the price slightly.
As for Huawei's suspension of providing free chargers in the package, it was not for waste reduction and environmental protection, but because they were sanctioned by the United States and were unable to obtain chips related to the fast charging agreement.
Some netizens suggested on Weibo that Huawei users can purchase chargers through Honor, which was split in November, because they use the same fast charging protocol as Huawei, but they have not been sanctioned by the United States.
