Google launches the "Heads Up" function to remind people with heads down to "walk to see the road"

Indulging in using mobile phones on the road can easily lead to accidents. The Digital Wellbeing program launched by the tech giant Google has recently been specifically designed for people with heads down. It has added a Heads Up function.

It is hoped that mobile phone users will reduce the dangers caused by frequently lowering their heads to play with their phones when they go out.

Android's digital health service will get a new "head-up" feature, which can prompt users not to stare at their phones while walking. The feature appears to be rolling out to the beta version of the Digital Wellbeing app, and a Twitter user reported that they received the feature on their Pixel 4A device.

Google announced that it has recently launched a new "Heads Up" function in the beta version of its health platform. Heads Up will remind users by monitoring the user's location and actual activities.

When the mobile phone detects that the user is outdoors and walking, but the mobile phone is in use, it will periodically send out reminders to remind the user to look up at the surrounding environment. However, Google emphasizes that this is not a substitute for users to focus on changes in the surrounding environment.

Google said that the Heads Up function is only available for Google Pixel series phones at this stage, and it may be available to other Android phones later.
