[Huawei builds a car? ]Huawei debuts its first electric car, equipped with Hongmeng OS operating system
Although Huawei has repeatedly emphasized not to build cars, it has recently teamed up with BAIC New Energy’s high-end brand Jihu to release the first electric vehicle, the Arcfox Alpha S (ARCFOX Alpha S) Huawei HI version (abbreviation for Huawei inside), using Huawei Fast charging technology and Hongmeng OS operating system, the starting price of 388,900 yuan.
Wang Jun, President of Huawei Smart Car Solutions (IAS) Business Unit, stated at the press conference that Huawei will invest US$1 billion to develop smart car solutions this year. The global research team will have more than 5,000 technicians and engineers.
It is the second-ever BAIC Alpha S (Huawei HI version) that uses Huawei's fast charging technology and has a battery life of 197 kilometers in 10 minutes. The smart cockpit is equipped with the Hongmeng OS operating system. Huawei’s rotating chairman Xu Zhijun pointed out that Huawei's. IAS can drive 1,000 kilometers in the urban area to achieve fully automated driving. As for the price, the basic version is 388,900 yuan , and the high-end version is 429,900 yuan.
Huawei pointed out in the Alpha S teaser poster that the car is a new benchmark for global autonomous driving. Wang Jun revealed that Huawei's laser applications are abundant, capable of sensing long-distance small obstacles, tunnels, high-speed mobile vehicles, etc., and plans to continue to reduce the cost of lasers in the future.
In an interview with internal media, Wang Jun emphasized that Huawei currently does not consider building a car, but does not exclude cooperation with any car manufacturer. He revealed that in addition to BAIC Blue Valley, Huawei’s current customers include Guangzhou Automobile Group and Changan Automobile.
