Samsung's new patent exposure, folding machine screen can be used to measure blood pressure

This patent was filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the World Intellectual Property Organization in April last year, and was approved on March 25 this year. The patent content is mainly to use the folding machine as a tool to measure the user's health. For example, 

two light sensors are set on a foldable flexible screen to match the pressure sensor of the mobile phone shell. When the user puts the index finger on the light sensor, then Close the phone gently again. 

Using the data collected by the two sensors, the user's blood pressure, vascular age, vascular stiffness, central arterial pressure, vascular compliance, and even the user's fatigue level can be obtained through algorithms.

In Samsung's patent application document, it is also mentioned that the user can hold the slightly flexed folding machine in the palm of the hand and use the sensor on the side of the machine to measure the user's physical condition. 

It is currently unknown when Samsung will commercialize the patented technology, but the technology involved in monitoring the health of users often requires clinical research and certification before it can be launched. It is estimated that it will take some time before the technology is expected to be officially launched.
