The open source system Fuchsia OS is supported by Samsung and may replace the Android system in the future

Fuchsia OS, released in 2016, is Google’s open source system. It is different from the familiar Android. In addition to supporting smartphones and tablets, it can also be used for other connected products. 

One of the advantages of Fuchsia OS is that the update frequency is higher than that of Android, and there is no need to rely on device manufacturers to provide updates, which reduces the burden on manufacturers.

At the end of last year, Google opened Fuchsia OS to allow other developers to successfully contribute. Samsung soon added Flash-Friendly File System (F2FS), an open source file system designed by Samsung specifically for flash memory architecture. , The outside world generally believes that the speed of F2FS is faster than the ext4 file system used by many Android devices.

The well-known whistleblower @UniverseIce revealed on Twitter that Samsung has a great opportunity to adopt Fuchsia OS, and the specific timetable has not been further disclosed. 

It is pointed out that Google has taken the lead in preloading the Fuchsia 1.0 system in the Nest Hub, but Android 12 will be officially released this week. I believe that Fuchsia OS will not be launched and replace Android this year.
